Audrey Beshore Memorial Award

What a surprise to get this award in the mail! ( a few weeks ago but I'm just now posting about it) For those not in the local guild, it's an award given by the guild - I'm not even sure anymore what the requirements were but I hadn't even been to a guild meeting since February! The $50 has long been spent on more fabric for more quilts. I just mailed 16 quilts to NC - all but one made since I arrived here June 11. Here's a picture of three quilts. Miss you all but have found a Tuesday evening group I like. I'm teaching them how to paper piece next week. Very small group of ladies - only 5 last night- but I've been told more will start coming when vacations are over. We bring machines each week and do some serious quilting - unlike the every other Monday morning group that no one even pretends to do any stitching of any kind. I was the odd woman trying to get some binding done this week. So far enjoying El Paso but got a call July 18 from Mike's boss saying we are still slated for Germany next June. He started the conversation by saying, "don't unpack everything" TOO LATE! So any tips for prepping for a move to Germany would be welcome.
