Hi you all! At Jeanie's urging, I'm making my first post. This photo will let you know that we indeed ended up in WA and were not kidnapped somewhere along the way. Maybe I should be holding a calendar page to verify the date! :O)
We took this photo during our first week of unpacking. The location is approximately 8 blocks from our front door. That morning we saw seals and a bald eagle swooping down to fish and were entirely secure in our decision to live in this part of the world.
Doesn't this make you want to come for a visit?
My sewing room is set up and I've actually made time to play. My first attempt at creativity with the charm pack was highly unsuccessful which means I get to buy another pack and try again. We leave for Colorado tomorrow (Charley's fishing with his buddies and I'm visiting my dad). Another 3,000 mile road trip hardly sounds fun at this point, but once we get out the door it will be, I'm sure.
My dad has asked me to help him put insulation in his crawlspace while I'm there. A "Lutheran vacation" (ala Garrison Keilor) for sure. Right up my alley!
